2022.03.23 Mike Spahr Sonepar Canada VP of Vendor Relation: Transparency & Dedication Picture

Mike Spahr, vice-président des relations avec les fournisseurs de Sonepar Canada : Transparence et dévouement

23.03.2022

Disruptions such as port congestions, historically high demand, and natural disasters, have all created an imbalance resulting in industry-wide supply constraints. Although the electrical industry has not been exempted from these on-going issues, strong leadership, transparency, and a dedicated work force have assisted Sonepar with navigating these complications.

“Over the past two years all of these disturbances have created the perfect storm,” said Sonepar Canada’s Vice-President of Vendor Relations, Mike Spahr. “The shear number of disruptions have had an enormous impact on the efficiencies of the Global supply chain, forcing Sonepar to leverage our business network, locally, nationally, and globally in order to maintain an uninterrupted supply of goods and minimize the impact to our customers.”

Although all of these factors created a massive bottleneck, our strong long-standing relationships with our vendor community have been the reason why our organization has been able to navigate these circumstances successfully.

“Over the years we have cultivated strong relationships with our vendor partners, and barriers brought on by unanticipated influences have only fortified those relationships.”

“I would also like to take this time to thank the unsung hero’s that work behind the scenes.  The past two years have not been easy, and our associates are amazing.  In particular, I would like to shine a spotlight on our Procurement teams.  They have spent countless hours sifting through data, adjusting to spikes in buying, sourcing product, finding new ways to ensure we maintain stock for our customers.  There are a lot of departments going above and beyond.  Thank you everyone for your tireless efforts and making it easy to be proud to work with Sonepar.”
